Our IT and AI engineering team in Malaysia is strategically based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, serving as a key hub for advancing Crane’s business operations both domestically and internationally. The team is committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data-driven systems, to enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation initiatives. Working in close collaboration with our counterparts in Japan, we continuously adopt and implement advanced technological solutions to ensure alignment with global standards. The IT team in Malaysia is located at an office in the heart of KL, and is dedicated towards transforming Crane's business operations both domestic and international through the power of IT. The team works closely with the IT department in Japan to incorporate the most advanced technologies of our time, thereby creating a team that can generate global impact from within Malaysia.

What does a typical day look like?

We start the day in the mornings with rounds of stand-up meetings to align on progress of our tasks and projects with the team. And will be working throughout the day over our machines either by the desks or anywhere in the office that you pleased.

What do you look for in a candidate?

Having the curiousity to learn new skills and technologies. A person who enjoys the work that they do and plays well with others.

Besides the company's values and commitments towards customers, what does the company values most with the employees?

The company values employees happiness at the workplace, dedicating time and resources to ensure a comfortable working environment. Most importantly, employees time at work will always be respected, practicing reasonable workload across working hours.

What are the common career paths in this department?

IT team members will start out as an IT executive position, branching into either Frontend Developer or Backend Developer. With experiences, Senior IT executive can be a possibility. As the IT team grows, the opportunity for leadership positions may also be considered.

How will I be prepared to fit and join in the development team?

You will be orientated within the first week. Equipping you with workstations and computer peripherals as well as stationery tools. The team lead will be showing you the ropes, and attending to your first tasks and practices.

Can you tell me about the team I’ll be working with?

The IT team of Crane Central Inc are made up of young and vibrant, ambitious people. We approach coding problems with great enthusiasm and enjoy ourselves when we it's time to unwind. Everyone is helpful and we hold no stigma in asking about anything you are not sure of.

What is the structural organisation of the company?

The IT team in KL adopts a simple structural organisation that ranges from Executives, Seniors, and Team Leaders. We all work together and collectively reports to the Director of the KL office branch.
