Hello, today let me share about our company story.
Crane Co., Ltd. was founded by three startup members, centered on the consulting business. At the same time, a marriage counseling business will be launched at another company. Office was started in a small apartment.
Our founder started the company in his 20s. At that time, we started with 3 members and 2 of them had no experience in working. However, we work hard to achieve our dream.
After learning and gaining experience in web sales promotion and how to start a new industry, we support 20 companies in the management consulting business. We didn't borrow any loans, we just saved our money carefully for a year!
The first "Jewel Cafe" store which specializing in jewelry purchases was open.
We created a store which is specializing in purchase as our new business and explored a new market. At that time, purchase store had an image of being difficult to visit, but Jewel Cafe, as its name shows, is easy to visit, just like a café.

Despite the Lehman Shock and the overall market downturn, Jewel Cafe continued to aggressively approach large commercial facilities for store openings, resulting in the opening of more than 30 stores in Japan.
With more mall-type commercial facilities tied in, the opening of Jewel Cafe stores accelerated, bringing the total number of stores to 62! At this time, the company made its first overseas expansion, making its first entry into Hong Kong. M & A of Wish Co., Ltd., which operates 24 stores in the same industry. MBO of Lance Create Co., Ltd., which operates a dating agency business. And we were the first in the industry to broadcast a TV commercial [Precious Metal Detective] on a national scale!

Overseas expansion did not stop in Hong Kong, but also in Taiwan and the U.S. (LA). In Japan, the number of stores has steadily increased to 174.
Beside the purchase business, the first "Hair Colors" store, which specializes in hair coloring and does not provide cut service, was opened as a new business. (We are currently developing 7 stores.) Since our President is from Okinawa, we acquired the Okinawa Kaiseki restaurant "Akasaka Tantei" through M&A.
Akasaka Tantei" was awarded a Michelin star for seven consecutive years. In the same year, the number of Jewel Cafe stores surpassed 300 in Japan and abroad. What a great time to be in the Crane Group, which operated six different types of businesses.
After seven years and we accumulated many staff, we held the Crane's first Sports Day.
The salon of Sincerite, a marriage counseling business started at the time of the company's founding, was relocated to Aoyama.
Jewel Cafe greatly expanded its lineup of items to be purchased, creating a foothold to become a general purchase store. We began to sell our products through Rakuten, Yahoo Shopping, and Yahoo! and other online shopping businesses.
VENUS TEARS, a jewelry retailer launched in 2013 as a new business, opened 4 stores in Singapore, 2 stores in Taiwan, and 1 store in Japan.
As a new brand of purchasing business, we opened an undeveloped urban store in "Mersa Ginza store". In addition, VENUS TEARS opened an event store at "Ginza Matsuya" and relocated to "Tokyu Plaza Ginza", and made a decision to enter the most competitive market in Japan, and achieved success.

The jewelry business opened its second Ginza store, "Grace O'Malley Matsuya Ginza", which was welcomed by customers in Ginza, who are strict about quality; the e-commerce division opened its own directly managed online store, leveraging its sales know-how on Rakuten Ichiba and Yahoo Shopping. The company aimed to expand its business. As the core Jewel Cafe, new stores were opened in Japan as well as in Taiwan and Malaysia.
The world was overwhelmed by the coronavirus. Our company was no exception, and we were forced to close our offices and all business categories were greatly affected. It was a year that tested our organizational strength, but all of us worked together and continued on our growing path, opening new stores, etc.! (We have appointed actress Yoko Minamino as Jewel Cafe's new image character.)
There is a saying in Okinawa, my hometown, that goes "Nankuru nai nai". It means, "If you work hard to follow the right path without giving up, good days will come.
Crane is a young and an organization that still developing. I believe that we will continue to face and suffer from many difficulties. However, we will continue to make efforts to overcome them steadily on the path that we believe in.
