Here at the General Affairs Department, I handle external phone calls, customer visits, labour relations, documentation, equipment management, and shipping. I sometimes receive inquiries and consultations from outlet staff within Crane Group. I am always gathering information so that I can provide them with the best answers as quickly as possible. The job scope of general affairs is wide-ranging and often difficult, but I find it very rewarding because there is always something new to get involved in.

Please tell us about your happiest episode at work

It has got to be when other people appreciate what I do! Whenever I receive a "thank you", even if it is for a small task, it makes me happy to know that I was able to help someone. I have only been with the company for two years and am still getting used to my new job, so I still get anxious about certain things. But at such times, the warm words of encouragement from my seniors and colleagues motivate me to push forward. As a general affairs officer, I aim to become a reliable source of support for all employees.

09:45: Arrive at work – organize the pantry & replenish supplies

10:00: Start work – check e-mails and order equipment
Handle visitors and phone calls

12:00: Open and sort mail and packages
Prepare application and certification documents

14:00: Lunch (I either have lunch with colleagues or eat cosily by myself with food from the convenience store)

16:00: Prepare documents and packages for shipping
Input or update employee personal data

17:00: Compile time and attendance records

19:00: Leave the office

What do you do on your day off?

Lately I've been binging on all the movies and anime that I’ve always wanted to watch! I have so much more downtime at home now that I forget about the time and just watch all the stuff that I wasn’t able to before. I especially like imaginative works such as science fiction and fantasy. I never get tired of watching them because they allow me to experience things that are way out of the ordinary. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

I think it is difficult to transition from being a student to settling into a new environment as a member of the workforce. You might be full of worries and anxieties. I myself was constantly nervous when I first started working, but the senior staff at Crane were very kind whenever they talked to me.
